With the release of the new Warhammer Age of Sigmar Skirmish rules in the White Dwarf of January 2019, we, The Gaming Lords Leuven, thought it high time to have ourselves a little Skirmish tournament.

250 renown within 1 Grand Alliance as stated in the rules.
Artifact and trait should be indicated on your roster and chosen out of those listed in the WD of January 2019, or any newer GW publication
If artifacts or traits should be gained during the course of an event, they should be determined randomly.
Square bases are allowed if the models were provided with square bases. But models on square bases suffer the following penalty: -0,3” range on melee weapons.

Houserules

Musicians, banners and all similar upgrades that are not already limited by the rules are limited to one per 10 models. The only exception are warscrolls that indicate a limitation themselves. There we follow the limitation on the warscroll. (As they are limited now, you will have to consider them as upgrades and pay for them).
Aura effects, and spells, abilities etc. (like portal of skulls, unleash spites, banners etc) can have a maximum of 3 targets at any time, if the spell, ability etc targets friendly and enemy models it will target a maximum of 3 friendly models and 3 enemy models.
A dice cocked to any extend has to be re-rolled

Secondary objectives
At the start of the battle you can choose one of the following objectives as your secondary objective. During the course of the event, you can only have the same secondary objective once. Completing your secondary objective obtains you 5VP. Preventing your opponent from obtaining his secondary objective also will give you 5 pts. (So a total of 10 pts on secondary objectives/game).
Everything is above board, so your opponent will know your targets, mission and vice versa before the battle starts.

1. The Assassin: Choose one of your non general models to be your assassin. Then choose one of your opponents models as his target. You need to kill the target with your assassin.
2. I'm a survivor: Choose one of your non general models, that model must survive the battle.
3. The Bodyguard: Name one model as your Generals bodyguard. Kill at least one model that is within 3” of your General with your bodyguard or let the bodyguard die within 3” of your General (caused by an enemies blow) The bodyguard must remain within 3” of your general. Your general must survive the battle.
4. Bullies: Gang up with at least 50% (model wise) of your remaining army and at least 3 models, vs a single enemy model in the combat phase.
5. Saving Private Ryan: Choose a scenery piece outside of your Territory at least 6” away from any objective. Control it for at least 2 turns.
6. I'll do it myself: Slay the enemy general with your general.
7. Quality over quantity: Kill twice as many enemy models as your opponent. Battleshock does not count as a kill.
8. Stand your ground!: Choose a scenery piece on the board. Have at least one model completely on or within the scenery piece at the end of each of your turns.
9. The pacifist: Choose one of your models to be your pacifist. This model is not allowed to attack at any point of the battle. This model must survive the battle.
10. Duel of the casters: Kill an enemy wizard with a spell.

Battleplans and progression

The following battleplans will be played with the following twists (from Open War)

1. Clash at Dawn (WD January 2019 p 33):
Eager for Battle: Add 2” to the move characteristic of all models, add 1 to all run and charge rolls.

2. Blood and Glory (Core Book p 312)
Storm of Magic: Add 1 to all casting and unbinding rolls. However if a casting or unbinding roll results in a double, then the caster suffers a mortal wound after the spell is attempted and its effects (if any) have been resolved. If the roll was a double 1, then the caster suffers D3 Mortal wounds instead.

3. Treasure Hunt (WD January 2019 p 30)
Dead of nigth: The maximum range of all attacks and spells is limited to 12”.
Roll a dice at the start of each battle round after the first. On a roll of 4 or more, 6” is added to the maximum range limit of all attack and spells. The second time a roll of 4 or more is made, 12” is added; the third time, 18” is added, and so on.

4. Border War (Core Book p 314)
Meeting Battle: Each player must split their army into three contingents. No Contingent can consist of more than half the units in an army.
Each player sets up one contingent at the start of the battle using the normal rules for set-up. A second contingent arrives at the end of the controller's second movement phase, and the last at the end of its controller's third movement phase. Units in the second and third contingent must be set up more then 9” from the enemy, with all models wholly within 9” of any battlefield edge and outside of enemy territory,

5. Hold The Center (WD January 2019 p32)
Lashing Rain: The lashing rain effect takes effect from the start of the first battle round. While it is raining substract 1 from hit rolls in the shooting phase, and substract 1 from all run and charge rolls.
Roll a dice at the start of each battle round after the first. On a roll of 4 or more the rain stops (if it was raining in the last battle round), or starts again (if it was not raining in the last battle round).

Rewards of battle:

After each battles players can roll on the rewards table as presented in WD of February 2019 p 80.

Progression:

After each battle, if you have won, you can upgrade one of the models in your war band to a champion. If you already have a champion or the maximum available champions, roll on the table below to see what “nickname” your champion is awarded. You cannot have the same upgrade twice even if you have multiple champions, If you roll a result you already have, the upgrade is lost, better luck next time. The same unit cannot be affected by the same ability twice:

1. The Fierce: You can re-roll charge ranges for this champion.
2. The Fast: You can re-roll hit rolls of one for this champion. If this champion already could re-roll hit rolls of 1, re-roll all failed hit rolls for this champion.
3. The Resilient: You can re-roll save rolls of one for this champion. If this champion already could re-roll save rolls of 1, re-roll all failed save rolls for this champion.
4. The Butcher: Each time this champion slays an enemy unit, roll a dice, on a 5+ it can immediately pile in and attack again. This ability can only activate once per phase.
5. The Strong: When attacking with this champion, you can choose to acumulate all of his attack into a single powerful attack with the same profile as one of his regular attacks. Add 1 to the rend and 2 to the damage characteristics of that attack.
6. The Great: If your General is slain or fled the battle, you can take your bravery test on the bravery of this model.
