Format:
• Doubles tournament where each player brings a list of 1250 points, for a team total of 2500 points;
o Army lists must be submitted to hammersandswords@gmail.com before March 25th 2024 or your team will be scrapped;
o Army lists must be built using https://old-world-builder.com/ & shared as an .owb.json file. No substitutes will be accepted;
o Open lists which will be forwarded to all valid participants on April 1st 2024, so they may review their opposition before the tournament.
• Maximum of 16 teams;
• 2 games over 1 day:
o Doors at 9:30 AM
o Battle 1: 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM (13:00)
o Lunchbreak: 1 PM until 2 PM (13:00 until 14:00)
o Battle 2: 2 PM until 5 PM (14:00 until 17:00)
o Award ceremony: 5 PM until 6 PM (17:00 until 18:00)
• Price: 25€ per team
o Payment and armylist deadline: 25/03/24 or your team will be scrapped;
o To be paid at BE44 7506 8543 9245 with payment reference “War of the Beard 2024 team name”
o Per team member that has paid their membership fee for this year, you get a reduction of 5€ on the total registration fee. Not a member yet but you wish to benefit from this discount? Send us an e-mail at hammersandswords@gmail.com.

Rules:
• Fixed scenario’s for each battle;
o Battle 1: The Battle of Pine Crags (Flank Attack); page 292 - 293;
o Battle 2: The Doom of Odo Todmeyer III (Break Point); page 290 - 291.
 Breaking an army gives 200 additional VP’s instead of a crushing victory.
• Table size: 72” by 48” (as per FAQ);
o 6 terrain pieces per table, 12” apart & from the centre.
• Pairings will be random for the 1st battle, based on score for the 2nd battle;
• All rules, FAQ’s & books are allowed up until the 25th of March.
o No rules published after March 25th will be used so that no list could be significantly impacted after the deadline has expired;
o If any already submitted army lists drastically change in point cost before the 25th of March, we will contact the submitting player to work out a solution.
• Any and all lists options available are OK to use (including legacy armies & arcane journals). We encourage our players to experiment with whatever they wish or can, be it mercenaries, allies or even the famous Gyrocopter list!
• Your army & your partner’s army treat each other as an allied contingent, as described on page 280 of the main rulebook. Page 281 does not apply to this.

Scoring & awards:

5 prices will be handed out:
• Best general (1st, 2nd & 3rd place determined by Battle Points);
• Best painted army (as voted by the participants);
• Participation price for last (Rode Lantaarn).

Models & painting:
• Appropriate base sizes are required; be it via correct bases, base extenders, trays,…
o Trays & extenders by Forges of Nuln available at the event for a price (limited stock).
• Proxy models are allowed, but should be clearly recognisable & distinguishable as the model they’re supposed to represent. Empty bases are not allowed;
• We urge you to use painted models, but still will not be enforced. If your army is fully painted, you will receive an additional 5 points (min of 3 colours + based).

House-rules & clarifications:
• No unit wider than 10 models;
• Wizards that have armour in their basic profile (Daemons of Chaos Daemon Prince, Treemen Ancients, Branchwraiths,…), may cast their spells;
• Hellish Vigour has a casting value of 9+/12+.

What to bring:
• Army: models, trays, relevant rules & publications either printed or on your electronic device, charger or power bank if you only have your rules on an electronic device,…
• [b]Tools: tape measure, dice, extra aids you wish to use: view arc indicator, wound markers, Gaze of the Gods markers, spell cards,…
