Dead Man’s Hand verboten
4 Runden

Aktuelles & Offizielles Gaining Grounds Regelwerk
Aktuelles & Offizielles Grundregelwerk Malifaux

Jede Runde treten zwei Teams gegeneinander an.

Bestimmen von Team A

GERMAN BREACH BRAWL
The tournament is the second installment in the series of tournaments we plan to hold in 2022. We currently plan to hold another tournament with a normal single player setting.
The top players of all events will qualify for the GERMAN BREACH CHAMPION 2022 tournament.

Tournament rules
50 soulstones with current gaining grounds rules (season two or season three)
Single faction (given during registration)
Singles variant (no additional out of keyword Masters)
Dead Man’s Hand not allowed
4 rounds
we appreciate painted crews (price support for painted models)
Converted models are allowed if the model is distinctly identifiable (if in doubt feel free to send an e-mail to the organisers)

We are going to use the following rule documents in descending order of priority
current official FAQ for Malifaux
current official Gaining Grounds rules
current official base rules for Malifaux
For open rules questions that can’t be solved by the above rule documents we will use the rulings by the Malifaux World Series (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z6jmZUtGXBxx31gHywREs95h-26js4maH0JBsBLWRRU/edit).

Time management
To promote fair play (time is a resource and both players are entitled to an equal amount of time to think and activate their models) and to simplify the organization of the tournament (time schedule), all games will be played with chess clocks. Each player has a total time of 90 minutes on their clock. If a player runs out of time, the player may no longer activate models and is limited to passive reactions (e.g.: only defensive flips, no more cheating). He or she may no longer cheat or declare triggers. He or she can still score points for strategies and schemes if the conditions are met.
The clock is paused during the Start Phase (while players are shuffling their deck, deciding whether to use Soulstones to draw cards etc.) and the End Phase. After initiative is determined and pass tokens have been calculated, the clock is unpaused and switched to the active player.

We will provide a document with more detailed information on how to use a chess clock during the tournament.

If both players' clocks run out before the end of round 5, or if both players are in agreement, they may discuss how the game would have played out and may gain their respective Victory Points.

Players may use either physical chess clocks or chess clock apps for mobile devices.
We are confident that the use of chess clocks will ensure a fairer competitive atmosphere.

Team tournament basics
One team consists of 3 players, whose faction is open information
Every player gets a sleeved player card from the orga, this card has the following information on it’s frontside:
Name of the player
Faction of the player
Team name of the player
All Masters of the player’s faction to be able to mark
Every player card looks the same on the backside
Every round two teams are paired against each other. During that team match there will be three 1 vs 1 Malifaux matches on three different tables.
The tables differ in scheme pool and terrain, but have the same deployments and strategies. Scheme pools, deployment, and strategy vary as usual from tournament round to round.

Team tournament pairings
Two teams that are paired this tournament round meet at their three designated tables
Every player chooses their master in secret with full information about each players declared faction
Every player simultaneously reveals their Masters for this round
The actual pairing process now begins:
Selecting Team A
Both team captains perform a card flip
Winner of the flip is Team A
Looser of the flip is Team B
Both Team Captains are holding their three player cards unrevealed in their hand
Selecting of tables and matchups
Team A chooses one of the three unoccupied tables and places two of their player cards face down on the table
Team B chooses one of the now two unoccupied tables and places two of their player cards face down on the table
Team A has to place their remaining player card face down next to the two player cards from Team B
Team B has to place their remaining player card face down next to the two player cards from Team A
Now all player cards are distributed and face down, there is one table with 2:1 player cards, one table with 1:2 player cards and one unoccupied table without any player cards on it
The single player of Team A chooses one of the two player cards of Team B placing it face down next to their own and places the other player card face down on the unoccupied table
The single player of Team B chooses one of the two player cards of Team A placing it face down next to their own and places the other player card face down on the unoccupied table
Now all player cards are revealed and all matchups are determined
Three 1 vs 1 Malifaux games each on one of the three tables at Step G “Hire Crew”, because Faction was predetermined during registration, Masters were already picked during the first step of team pairing and additional Masters aren’t allowed.
