What the Duck Cup 2024 - Information and Rules

RULES
Boardsize:
The Map will be a 3x3 Mat (like in skirmish)

Listbuilding:
- For this Format you are allowed to use a List with 600 points.
- The rank requirements are like in a 1000 point game, except u dont have to bring 3 core units, but at least 2.
- Rank requirements for Battle forces stay the same as in a 1000 point game.

Determining Player Color:
A die is rolled to determine which player is blue and which red... the winner of the die roll can decide
For all the games, the blue player may choose a table edge, but the red player wins in case of a tie (a tie occurs if after 5 rounds both players have equal victory and kill points)

Movement:
Moving is done like it was in Legion, before Update 2.6

Special Rules:
A unit with Omega in it, may also do free mission actions like "claim" or "deposit" if Omega touches the necessary objective.
For the Rebel Sleeper Cell Upgrade "Astromech" Ducks are considered as obejctive Tokens/POIs, BUT if a unit has a Duck claimed, the Astromech ability can only trigger once per activation, even if the unit moves twice.

Missions:

Game 1 "Here take my Duck!"

Deployment zone is anywhere at range 1 of the friendly table edge.

Each player gets 1 Duck. Then starting with the blue player, each player chooses a trooper unit, which will have their duck claimed at the start of the game.
Then, starting with the blue player, each player places a POI on to the map.
At the end of the game players score 12 victory points, if a duck is placed inside the POI that their opponent placed at the start of the game, 10 victory points if a duck is at range 0.5 of the "enemy POI",
8 Victory Points if a duck is at range 1 of the "enemy POI" OR 6 victory points if a duck is at range 1.5 of the "enemy POI"

Each trooper unit may claim up to one unclaimed duck with a free action, if its unit leader touches the ducks base.
If a unit that has a duck claimed dies or panics, the duck becomes unclaimed.
A unit may deposit a duck inside of a POI with a free action, if its unit leader touches the POI.
Units that have claimed a duck cannot be deployed using the "transport" keyword.

Game 2 "I need those Ducks!"

The Setup for game 2 is exactly like the skirmish version of "close the pocket", but instead of 3 POIs, 3 unclaimed Ducks are placed.

At the end of the game each player gets 6 Victory Points for each Duck claimed by a friendly unit.

Each trooper unit may claim up to one unclaimed duck with a free action, if its unit leader touches the ducks base.
If a unit that has a duck claimed dies or panics, the duck becomes unclaimed.

Game 3 "Duck of the Hill"

The Setup for game 3 is still like the skirmish version of "close the pocket", but instead of 3 POIs, one Duck is placed inside of a POI in the Middle of the Battlefield.

Starting in Round 2, players score 2 Victory Point if they are securing the POI with the Duck inside at the end of that round. In Round 5, securing the POI with the Duck inside rewards 3 Victory Points.
Additionally, Players gain 1 Victory Point for every enemy unit that is defeated or 2 Victory points, if that unit is a heavy, support or special forces unit.
