| 2025-01-24 10:36 Info: War of the North - Painting Contests English: The tournament features 3 Contests: Best Painted Army, Best Painted Unit, Best Painted Single Mini. Definitions: Single Miniature definition: Any single ASoIaF:TMG miniature mounted on its original base (no movement tray). Unit definition: Infantry units containing all 12 models / Cavalry units containing all 4 models mounted on an appropriate movement tray. All war machine type units are considered units for the purposes of the painting contest, meaning units on large solo trays (i.e. Stonethrower, Hrakkars, etc.). Army definition: A best painted army entry must be in the range of 38-42 points consisting of items from your two army lists entered into the tournament. That means that you can mix units and miniatures from either of your two army lists to create your best painted army entry. If the movement trays have extensive conversions, the models on a unit tray must still be removable, as needed for play purposes. Onsite judging: A jury of judges will examine entries as a group and make a first cut for each contest, narrowing it down to a group of entries with the potential to place as winners. In the subsequent step the top cut entries will be judged individually by judges based on points given in three categories: Technical Quality: This includes all the skills used in painting and basing, as well as, finishing this entry. Artistic Quality: This includes all aesthetic and creative decisions made in the creation of the work, like, but not limited to, composition, color scheme, conversions. Narrative Quality: The atmosphere evoked by the piece. The entry should allow the reader to invoke the imagination, fill in the blanks and create a story fitting the world of ASoIaF in their mind. Each contestant can only enter one entry to each contest. All submitted minis must be part of one of your two army lists. A miniature cannot participate in multiple contests. There will be a Top Cut judging during lunch break, then a second round of judging the finalists on Saturday after the 3rd round of matches. For judging purposes, pictures will be taken of the entries and may be posted on the Hits and Crits Instagram, YouTube and Discord. Pictures of the winning entries will be presented at the painting contest award ceremony during the tournament for all to behold. At registration on Saturday morning, you will need to mark which painting contests you would like to participate in. You will receive a slip of paper to write your name on. During lunch break, participants must display their entries on designated tables together with their name. Wenn die Bewegungstabletts umfangreich umgebaut wurden, müssen die Modelle auf einem Bewegungstablett weiterhin abnehmbar sein, um für Spielzwecke verwendet werden zu können. **Bewertung vor Ort:** Eine Jury wird die Einreichungen als Gruppe begutachten und eine erste Auswahl für jeden Wettbewerb treffen, um die Beiträge mit Potenzial für einen Gewinn einzugrenzen. In der nächsten Runde werden die ausgewählten Beiträge individuell nach Punkten in drei Kategorien bewertet: - **Technische Qualität**: Dies umfasst alle beim Bemalen und Gestalten (inkl. B. Komposition, Farbschema und Umbauten. - **Narrative Qualität**: Die durch das Werk erzeugte Atmosphäre. Der Beitrag sollte die Fantasie anregen und eine Geschichte entstehen lassen, die zur Welt von ASoIaF passt. Jeder Teilnehmer kann nur einen Beitrag pro Wettbewerb einreichen. Alle eingereichten Miniaturen müssen Teil einer deiner beiden Armeelisten sein. Eine Miniatur kann nicht in mehreren Wettbewerben teilnehmen. Die Top-Auswahl der Beiträge wird während der Mittagspause bewertet, die Finalisten werden dann am Samstag nach der dritten Spielrunde untereinander beurteilt. Für Bewertungszwecke werden Fotos der Beiträge gemacht und möglicherweise auf dem **Hits and Crits**-Instagram, YouTube und Discord veröffentlicht. Fotos der Gewinnerbeiträge werden während der Preisverleihung des Malwettbewerbs auf dem Turnier präsentiert. Am Samstagmorgen bei der Anmeldung musst du angeben, an welchen Malwettbewerben du teilnehmen möchtest. Du erhältst einen Zettel, auf dem du deinen Namen einträgst.
