X-Wing Belgian nationals 2018 Flight A - Information and Rules

Outpost Ghent is proud to once again host the STAR WARS X-WING SECOND EDITION BELGIAN NATIONALS!

The tournament structure is modeled for two separate flights, which will culminate in a combined top cut.
It will take place over two separate flights on the 22nd and 29th of December, with the top 8 cut of both days proceeding to the 30th of December!
Players who do not make the top cut on day 1 will NOT be able to re-apply to day 2.

The venue is Outpost Ghent, Ottergemsesteenweg 13. There is plenty of parking nearby, and the location is a short walk from Sint-Pieters train station.
Doors open at 11h00 for sign in, while the event itself will start at 12h00.

Each day is limited to 64 players, and we encourage Belgians and people who have an easy or shorter fare to Ghent to consider applying for day 1 on December 22nd,
and participants who require overnight stay or a longer trip to apply to day 2 on December 29th, so these people can attend to top cut on December 30th if they make the cut.

Space and time permitting, there will be extra Hangar Bay side events starting in the afternoon of the main competition days and simultaneous to the top cut!
Participation in these events is included in the main event ticket.

Each main day event will be a Swiss event with the number of rounds depending on the number of players. With 64 players, there are 6 rounds of Swiss, with the top 8 proceeding to a combined top 16 cut on the 30th of December. For the top cut, the 1st ranked player from Swiss Day 1 will be paired against the 8th ranked player from Day 2, and so on. Swiss rounds and the first single elimination rounds are 75 minutes
each. Final match 120 minutes.

Keep in mind there is a limit of 64 players per day, so make sure there is a spot for you before you apply.

Submitting a squadlist beforehand is REQUIRED. You must make a squadlist using the official FFG squadbuilder app. These lists can be shared by clicking 'share' on the list, then creating a PDF file. Send the PDF
files as an attachment to an e-mail to bas@outpost.be
Please also bring an additional squadlist to the event to present to your opponent. The list to present to your opponent can be made in any way you wish, but must include all required information (see below).
Both squadlists must include the following information: all ships (with pilots), upgrades on those ships, total value in squad points per ship, total squad points, damage required for partial points on ships and the value of those partial points, and obstacles chosen.

Payment beforehand is NOT necessary. Payment on site can be made cash or with bancontact.


Prizes :
National champion wins a full color art trophy featuring Black One and a reserved seat and a bye at the 2018 world championship.
Top 4 receives a full set of acrylic maneuver templates.
Top 8 receives a set of acrylic range rulers for range 1 and 2, to supplement their top 16
Top 16 wins a range 3 acrylic range ruler.
Top 16 of each day, comprising the top 32, wins a set of acrylic focus and evasion tokens.
Top 32 of each day, comprising the top 64, receives an alternate art copy of the Kylo Ren pilot card for the TIE Silencer.
All prizes, except the Kylo Ren alternate art card, are fully compatible with second edition!
