AoS 2.0 farewell TEAM-TOURNAMENT - Information and Rules

A Game lasts a maximum of 3h, including Deployment, auxiliary objectives, Result submission etc.
The tournament will be played after the GHB piched battle rules including triumphs, auxiliary objectivs, realms etc.
The format for the team tournament will be played after the GHB pitched battle coalition of death rules.

The Tournament will be hosted via Tabletop TO. Due to that, one player of the team is required to create a https://tabletop.to/ account. Over this plattform following things will be made:
- List submission (both lists must be uploaded untill 04.07.2021)
- Pairings
- Scoresheets

Army selection:
Each player must follow the Vanguard Pitched Battle chart restrictions (pg 72) when picking their armies.
Points, warscroll battalions and Battleline units in each individual army cannot be shared with another player’s army in your coalition.
Each player commands the models in their army and is allowed to decide what they do, how they move, and so on, and that player makes all of the dice rolls for their own units.
In addition, each player accrues their own command points and can use any allegiance abilities available to them as normal.
Models in other players’ armies that are part of your coalition are considered to be neither friendly nor enemy models. This means that abilities used by your army that only
affect friendly models or that only affect enemy models will not affect models from the other armies in your coalition.

Use the Pitched Battle rules on for Pitched Battle Coalition of Death games except where
modified below:
• Each player in a coalition must pick a faction allegiance (this cannot be a Grand Alliance).
• The same faction allegiance cannot be picked more than once in a coalition.
• A Unique unit cannot be included more than once in a coalition.

GENERALS AND WARLORDS
Each player picks a general for their army as normal. You must also pick 1 player from each coalition to be the warlord.
If, at any time during the game, the coalition cannot decide in what order to carry out actions, the warlord has the final say on the order of events.
But if a dice needs to be rolled for the whole coalition, both players make that dice roll.
Finally, any victory conditions from a battleplan that apply to an army general only apply to the warlord’s general, unless specifically noted otherwise.

THE COALITION
The individual armies that can create a coalition can be found on the Coalition Matrix (pg 100-101).
The following restrictions apply to these coalitions during Pitched Battle Coalition of Death games:
BATTLE-FORGED COALITION
• No restrictions.
FRACTIOUS COALITION
• At the start of your hero phase in the first battle round, you do not receive 1 command point.
DESPERATE COALITION
• At the start of your hero phase in the first battle round, you do not receive 1 command point.
• When making normal moves, you must treat units in other players’ armies that are part of your coalition as enemy units.

Coalitions which are not in the GHB:
There might be some coalitions which are not in the GHB ruled because of some post GHB releases. If this is the case in your army choice, please contact the Orga for confirmation of the coalition.

ENDLESS SPELLS
If one player in a coalition has spent the points for an endless spell, only WIZARDS in that player’s army know and may use that endless spell,
providing that they are able to cast it.

AUXILIARY OBJECTIVES
In a Pitched Battle Coalition of Death game, Auxiliary Objectives are used as described on in addition to the following restrictions:
• Each individual player in a coalition picks 1 Auxiliary Objective instead of 2.
• The same Auxiliary Objective cannot be picked more than once by the same coalition.

SET-UP
In a Pitched Battle Coalition of Death game, when armies are beeing set-up, both players of a coalition are setting-up one unit each at the time.
So basicly 2 units at the same time are beeing set-up, then the oponent team has to set-up also two, and so on.

COMBATPHASE
In the combatphase there must always only one unit to fight and then the opposing team can choose one unit to fight.

Penaltys:
If your list has a mistake, the minimum will be done to correct it and make it legal. (e.g. if you are missing a mandatory unit for a battalion, the battalion will be deleted!)
In case you are missing any artefacts, command traits / abilities, you are not allowed to choose them, but are allowed to roll them at the start of every game.

Army list:
Lists must be provided on https://tabletop.to/aos-20-farewell-teamtournament
If your list contains any errors that have to be corrected, you'll get penalty points according as high as the error may be.
Battalions have to be makred up (directly in the list! for excemples, contact the TO)

Fully painted armies are rewarded with 5 points
