Tables & Terrains :
Tables and Terrains will be set up by the Organization before the event.
Tables will be balanced, with a decent number of Terrains, representing multiple Fronts from World War 2. Tables will be fair and enjoyable to play, but not symetrical.
Players are not allowed to change the setting of the Terrains unless they spot something really problematic, and only with approval of their opponent before the game can some terrains be moved slightly to avoid any dispute.
Players must talk with each other before the battle begin to determine impact and effect of the terrain, including crossing, as well as line of sight and concealment.
Be reasonnable and fairplay : objective in a water terrain shall be accessible, don’t put objective on top of unreachable mountain, etc.
If issue occures before or during the game, refers to the « problem resolution procedure ».

Problem resolution procedure :
The tournament is a competitive event, yet it will always be driven by sportmanship and fairplay. It’s a social event and a game above all else. Have fun and be cool.
There is nothing to win here but respect, so behave properly please.
Bad behaviour (such as bullying, bigotry, racism, insults, cheating, time delaying…) will not be tolerated, and will be heavily sanctionned (Big Points to expell).
If a problem occures during a game, follow this procedure :
1. Discuss with your opponent
2. If unanswered, check the RulesBook and Erratas
3. If unanswered, check the LFTF
4. If unanswered, call both Captains to the table
5. If unanswered, call a Referee.
Referee’s decisions are full and final, and undisputable.
If you have rule issues/questions before the tournament, speak about it before the event begins so you can have a clear answer. Don’t use rules loopholes to try to win, it’s pointless.

Models :
All models on tables need to be painted and WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).
This principle may suffer exceptions if need be and if there is no confusion for the opponent.
For instance : a Sherman Easy 8 can represent a Sherman 76mm (as you can’t currently play Easy 8), or a Ferdinand can be an Elefant (as difference is really minimal), but a 45mm Gun can’t represent a 76mm Gun.
Official sizes of the models and basis must be respected.
Captains are invited to speak before the tournament in case of doubt of eligibility of a model. In any problem a solution is living.
Before deployment, in case of conflict on models with your opponent, refers to « problem resolution procedure ».

Lists submission :
Lists must be submitted before august the 27th 2023 to :
E_duf@hotmail.com
A single email with all the lists (= Rosters) for the Team is needed.
Lists must use the Forces of War form, and must indicate the name of the Team and Player it belongs to.
Maximum 1 formation from commands card. If you take one of those formation, you need to take the support from the same book.
You can’t swap Forces between players during the tournament.
After the deadline, all the Rosters will be distributed to Captains for checking.
If a list is illegal, the player must make all the minimal necessary arrengements to make it legal.
There will be no penalty if an illegal list is changed before the 13th May 2023.
After this date, each change or day of delay will be sanctionned by penalties for the Team
(Small Points to Big Points).
All Rosters will be published by 28 august 2023.

If the name is the same, it can’t be repeated. If the name is different, it can be repeated.
No Command Card with the same name (even if coming from a different Book) may be
repeated, however a non-Limited Command Card can be repeated within the Force of a
player (e.g : Soviets RPG6 Grenades).
If the name is the same, it can’t be repeated (unless non-Limited and within the same Force).
If the name is different, it can be repeated.
The budget allowed per Force is 100 points (including Command Cards).
There is no limit to the number of Formations within a Force, remembering Formation(s) with the same name can’t be repeated.

To build a Force, a player will :
- select ONE Nation : Germany (including SS), America, Britain, Soviet Union
- select ONE Book from which at least 1 Formation (in the Book or from the Command Cards deck of the Book) must be selected and fielded ; all the
Command Cards and all the Support Units of this Book are then available
- if he wants, select a maximum of ONE Formation (but not Allied Formation, and not a Formation from the Command Cards deck) from another Book (only the Command Cards for that Formation or Units within that Formation are allowed to it) and/or ONE Unit (Allied or not) from another Book (only the Command Cards for that Unit are allowed to it)
E.G : Tatiana is selecting Germany as a Nation, and Fortress Europe as a Book.
She must pick at least 1 Formation from Fortress Europe, and chooses a Panzer Kompany (selecting 1 HQ Panzer IV, 1 Unit of Panzer IV, and 1 Unit of Tigers). She can get all the Command Cards from Fortress Europe Germany for his Force, plus all the Support of Fortress Europe Germany for it.
Additionnally, Tatiana picks an Armoured PanzerGrenadier Kompany from D-Day Germany, on which she can apply « Greyhound » and « PakFront » Command Cards.
She then picks one unit of SS-Tigers as Support, to which she attached Tiger Aces Card.
She can’t use « Greyhound » on his Fortress Europe Panzer Kompany, but she can use Tiger Aces Card on both his Supporting SS Tigers and Formation Heer Tigers if she wants.

The list must be submitted via Forces of War frame before the event.
Each player must bring at least 1 paper or digital copy of his list (and Command Cards if used) for the event.
Organization will provide a link with all Rosters to each player.

Teams Pair Up :
For Round 1, teams will be randomnly Paired Up.
From Round 2 and onward, pair up between Teams will be determined by Leader board ranking, using the Swiss Clock method (N°1 plays N°2, N°3 plays N°4, etc.).
In no circumstances two Teams can’t face each other twice in the tournament, so pair up will be adjusted accordingly.
Final ranking will be determined at the end of Round 5.
Organization will communicate Leaderboard at the beginning of each Round.

Individual Match up :
Game 1, 2, 4 and 5 will be 1 vs 1. Round 3 will be a game 2vs2 with one army (chosen befor the parring) on each side and the game will be played on one table. The goal is to have one game with your teammate.
Each Team will receive 9 Batlle plan (BP) cards, so 3 Attacks, 3 Manoeuver, 3 Defenders.
Each turn each player will take one card from this pool and play it as it BP for the current round.
The Tournament going on, the team will have less option to use till the game 5, with the last two BP remaining.
At the end of each game, the team will give back the BP card with the team results.
For exemple, Team A take two Attacking BP for the first round, 1 Attacking and one Defending for the round 2, Manoeuver for round 3 (yeah one army = one BP), round 4, 2 Moneouver BP and last game, they ll end the tournament with two Defending BP.

Missions :
For each game, players will use the Missions Pack and Extended Battle Plan Matrix.
Mission will be determined using Battle Plans.
When matchups are determined, roll for the Mission for each game.
Fog of War or any alternative play options will not be utilized.

Timing :
Each round will be 2 hours and 45 minutes, including match up and deployment.
Players are invited to be reasonnable in the time used : it’s a social event, so it’s normal to be cordial and speak friendly with your gaming partner, but don’t slow play or use tricks to slow down gaming process.
Remember we are here to play, not stall.
Captains shall be vigilant. For any trouble, refer to the « Problem resolution procedure ».
Both players must play the same number of turns, unless Victory Conditions are met.
Unless Victory Conditions are met before, each game must have at least 6 turns plaid by both players (No Fighting Withdrawal, reroll the dice to play another mission).
If, at the end of the playing time, 6 turns hadn’t been plaid, the current playing player finishes his turn.
Again, make sure both players were allowed to play the same number of turns.
If not, his opponent will play his turn as well.
If fate of the battle is not decided yet, the Sudden Death method will be applied.
If it’s not possible for both players to start a new turn and play it as normal (in case of
doubt : refer to the « Problem resolution procedure »), the Sudden Death method will also be applied.

Sudden Death method :
- player A (player who had the first turn) does all Motivation/Morale Tests (if Force is broken : game ends with player B victory)
- player A moves with maximum TWO units
- player A shoots with maximum TWO units
- player A assaults with maximum TWO units (player B does Defensive Fire and CounterAttack as normal)
- players A checks Victory Conditions
If Victory Conditions are not met, player B proceedes to his turn, using Sudden Death method.
Repeat until each player have plaid 6 turns (8 for Fighting Withdrawal), or before if mission
ends with a Winner and a Loser.
Captains and Referees can supervize a game using the Sudden Death method (again, no coaching here).
If, a the end of the time no player have met Victory Conditions, and 6 turns at least had been plaid (8 for Fighting Withdrawal), battle is a Draw (except Fighting Withdrawal, which will always have a Winner and a Loser).

Points Scoring System :
At the end of each Round, both Captains will provide the Organization the results and scores of the games of their Teams.
Scoring System (individual) : each player is awarded points depending on the result of ist game. Standard Version 4 Flames of War scoring will be used : the Winner gets 8 points, the Loser gets 1 point, and this is then adjusted according to how many Units the Loser manages to kill, and if any important historical figures have met their end in the game.
If battle is a Draw, both players score as if they lose.
Those points are referred as Small Points.
Scoring System (team) : Team are awarded a number of points depending on the number of Wins, Losses, and Draws they made in the Round.
Those points are referred as Big Points.
Win = 2 points
Draw = 1 point
Loss = 0 point
The leader board will be ranked by Big Points.
Small Points are used as Goal Average only.
If Teams tie with Big Points and Goal Average, they will be sorted out by the result of their game when they meet each other. If this is not possible, then teams are sorted by highest number of Rounds wins. If still not possible to unsort them, dice will be rolled to determine ranking between those Teams.
