Really nice tournament !!
The game lenght was a bit short but I understand that everybody wants to be home before midnight! It's a shame that it is so far away from Liège :P
Thx again !

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for the nice comment, Gregory!

If you guys organise something, be sure to let me know :).
I'll be happy to pay Liège a visit as well.

Kind regards,

Congratulations to the organizers! It was a lot of fun and I think the organizers did overall a very good job,

Positive:
+ Very nice tables and disposition of terrain, also nice to have 3D on top of 2D for clarity.
+ Very clear schedule.
+ Friendly players
+ Food/drinks were nice, also nice of Jellen to be offering drinks around the tables.

Possible improvements:
- Time, an extra 15-20 min per game would really help (so tournament would end 1h later).
- I personally can reach Roeselare in a reasonable time but I understand people travelling from further away prefer to start at 9.
- A bit of space between each table to put armies/dead models would be nice, but I understand space is limited so this might not be possible.

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you very much, Fernando!

We're looking into the possibilities to improve the gamer experience for next year :).

Definitely one of the best tournaments of the Belgian scene!

As others have said, travel time to get to Roeselare is around 1,5h for most of us...but nothing you can do about that!
Pretty happy with everything except:

- Schedule: timing was a bit tight, which I personally don't mind (I consider myself a middle-of-the-road gamer when it comes to time required for playing a battle) but several people couldn't finish their games on time. Case in point, my second game we only reached turn 3.
- Prizes: I liked that there were lots of small prizes and not just a huge lot for the top3. I'd consider contacting some of the "indy" miniature producers ahead of time to ask for prize support: Rotten Factory, Shieldwolf, Avatars of War and so on are usually pretty happy to send some freebies your way. This way you can provide more presents!

As a general note, I am very glad to see that the belgian tournament scene is vibrant and quite alive, with lots of new faces every time. Lists were for the most part well thought-out and the level of gaming quite high: a witness to that is how close the top scores ended up being!

Thanks for running the tournament, I'll be back next year! :)

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for the kind words, Pascal.

I've filed a motion to move Roeselare (and other parts from West-Flanders) closer to Brussels.
Unfortunately, my motion didn't have 'realistic intentions' and won't happen.

On a more serious note, I will keep the good ideas in mind for next year.

Hi Guys,

thanks for having us, that was a blast. My rapid feedback is the following :
+ Great venue (space, toilets,...) and space between tables !
+ Smooth organisation, very clear and nice atmosphere
+ Tables were on point, with combination of 2D and 3D scenaries, projecting the timing is a must do !

- Very early start but not that much time gained to play - would recommend to start at 9h. For much of us, Roeselare is 1h++ travel time.
- Prizes were a bit disapointing (think about contacting companies for sponsoring - free TO advice)
- Probably very personnal situation, but not a fan of changing oponents for round 3 because they play often against each others. I can imagine for 1st round, but that's it. It ends with odd situation were you play against someone with a lot more points or lot less... Not a fan, but does not affect the overall quality of the event.

Probably one of the best event in the country ! Keep it up !

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for the kind words, Hadrien!

I'm going to look into those companies, never went through my mind.
The schedule is something I have to put some more time in (ironically), I hope I can work away the issues for next year.

Kind regards,
Guy Demeyere

to little time to finish matches, 2 games stopt at turn 4

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for your feedback, Joachim.

We will try to update our schedule for next year, so we can increase the time to play wherever possible!

Very good tournament in general. Only less good thing was that there was no space between the end of the table and the window which was annoying....

That's it

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for the sugestion.

I will try to make sure there's more space next year :).

Excellent Job Guys! Nice gaming and scenery mats and excellent venue. Roeselare is a long drive but worth it. Thanks to all three opponents for Nice games

Comment of the organizer(s):

Comment of the organizer(s):
Bedankt voor de mooie woorden.

We kijken hoe we het schema beter kunnen maken voor volgend jaar :).

Tournament was great but the start was extremely early - 8am on a Sunday, a nightmare if you had to travel.

10am seems good to me.

There needed to be more space between tables, I like to have 24 inches between tables to put things.

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for your feedback, Roko!

Would you prefer playing on Saturday then? How late could the tournament be finished for you?

The space issue is one we're looking into.

Guy Demeyere

Very nice tournament, I will come again :)
Good communication (before and during the event), big screen is very nice to display timing.
2D + 3D terrain is a good compromise to have nice and clean games.

Maybe the renting the room is very expensive but I guess including a second sausage in the entrance fee might be nice. One is not enough for most of us :)
Timing was a bit short also.

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for the nice feedback.

I will take your sugestions and ideas with me to next year.
Hopefully I can change those things for the better!

Many thanks to the Pink Horde for organizing Challenge 13 !! A few comments about the event:

+++
+ BBQ: TOP hot-dogs and immediate service (not having to queu-in like last year)
+ army lists available a few days before the tournament: avoids losing 10 precious minutes at the start of each battle
+ all tables with brand new gaming mats :o)
+ 3D scenery on top of 2D mats
+ projection screen for pairings & clock was back this year
+ several new faces from Pink Hordes club: good to notice that local community is growing up in west vlaanderen
+ TOs coming around the tables to sell drinks avoiding us to go to bar ourselves

- - -
- games duration was too short: you could think about extending the schedule to later in the early evening but only if tourney is on a Saturday
- although I'm not concerned, I consider that winning prizes were a bit deceiving

Looking forward to next year's Challenge 14 !!

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for the kind words!

I'm taking the sugestions very seriously and hope to change both the price support and the game duration for next year.

Kind regards,
Guy Demeyere

Het was heel goe! Het enige wat ik minder vond was dat er een beetje weinig ruimte tussen de rijen tafels was en ook als je aan het einde van de rij tafels zat, je niet makkelijk naar de overkant kon gaan om je leger te verzetten. Maar mijn tegenspeler deed dat dan voor me dus problem solved right there and then ;-)

Comment of the organizer(s):
Bedankt voor de feedback, Tino.

Is inderdaad een kleine ingreep die alles on vergemakkelijken!

Super teetn, geen duvel, geen witte wijn, goeie scenery, schoone plek

Comment of the organizer(s):
Thank you for your feedback,
taking this with us to make next year's experience even better :).
