Drinks and Food will be available at the venue at democratic prices. You won’t be suffering from hunger and thirst, that’s for sure! Please refrain from bringing your own drinks and food, as the organisation would like to break-even on the costs made to host the event.

2. The Tournament:

Armies will be maximum 2000 points in size in accord with the army books that appeared in or before February of 2010. Army books that were released at a later date still use their previous incarnation when designing their army lists.

Your army may not contain special characters nor units of the Dogs Of War army selection, unless you are bringing a full Dog Of War army to the table.

All battles will last a maximum of two hours, or 6 game turns, whichever comes first! Every round will be played according to certain scenario specifics, entitling you to a certain number of victory points depending on the outcome of the battle. Information concerning these scenarios can be found at the bottom of this document.

A maximum of 25 command points can be earned during the battles, complemented with painting scores (20 points max, accorded by the mean value appointed by three judges) and army list points ( army list sent in on time and correct from the first go earns another 5 points).

Please submit your army lists before March 14th to the following address: tom@europunk.net.
Subscription for the event will cost 7 euros with a pre-subscription to the following bank account: BE40 7450 2894 4263 or by paying 8 euros the day of the event itself! Please make sure to be present between 9 and 9:15 AM if you decide to subscribe the day itself in order for us to be able to check your army list on the spot.

Hope to see you at the tournament, which will be part of the ‘Ranking Der Nederlanden’! Visit http://ranking-der-nederlanden.weebly.com/ for more info about the Ranking!

3. Side-events:

Just like every year the Gaming Lords will appeal to other clubs and outsiders for some side-events like Boardgames, WH40K, Battlefleet Gothic, Bloodbowl, Flames Of War, Anima Tactics and the likes. Clubs and people that are interested can send a mail to tom@europunk.net to reserve some tables, free of charge!

Like usual, Didier from Fantasy Gelaende will be present to show off his awesome scenery, and hopefully some of you will take some of it home!

And like every year, the Gaming Lords will take advantage of the opportunity to sell off some models that are no longer wanted in their second hand market. Everyone is free to bring in their stuff the day of the event, but before the start of the first battle. Please mark your stuff clearly with your name and the contents, and your intended sales-price. Additionally, provide us with a list of everything you’re offering for sale and the lowest price you’ll agree to let your stuff go to, as people tend to barter for their models. This will make our life a lot easier and your stuff sell a lot faster. If you cannot adhere to these rules, we reserve the right to refuse to put your lot up for sale. After the event, 5% of your total sales will be held in for our efforts in selling your stuff, and the rest will be paid out to you in cash. You can hand in everything that is even remotely connected to the GW hobby or other models/modelling companies.

4. Practical Arrangements:

- Doors open at 9 AM sharp.
- Tournament starts at 10 AM at the latest. People that haven’t subscribed yet have to make sure to be at the venue in time to hammer out the final details.
- Bring your dice, a range rule, an extra copy of your army list and all army books as well as all errata documents. A home-brew errata document will be used for the newest army books as long as GW hasn’t issued one.
- Pray to the dice gods

5. Scenario’s:

Scenario 1:
Control.

Game length: 2 hours or 6 game turns, whichever comes first.

Deployment: as normal, minimum 24” separated from each other.

Markers: 3 markers in the middle of the table; 1 in the very center of the table, 2 at 8” from the board side edges.

Goal: controlling the markers at the end of your game turn earns you control points. The person with the highest amount of control points wins.

Controlling a marker: Happens by having a scoring unit completely over the marker at the end of your game turn.

Victory conditions: only the control points will decide the outcome of this battle.
A player earns control points at the end of his turn for every scoring unit that completely covers a marker (only one unit per time can thus at any time control a marker). Players score 1 (one) point per controlled marker per turn. Of course no control points can be earned in the first turn of the game.

Result:

Difference in control points Result
0 DRAW
1 – 2 VICTORY
3 – 4 SOLID VICTORY
5+ MASSACRE

Scenario 2:
Assasination.
Deployment: Like in a pitched battle.

Goal: In this scenario the idea is to obliterate the enemy chain of command and crush their morale. If even the ‘Big Ones’ of the enemy die, flee or fail to show up, one can only imagine what the rest of the race will feel like. Kudos to you if you can crush the ‘Big Ones’ in an epic duel!

Victory points: Each player is awarded 900 victory points in the battle, adjusted with the point values indicated below:
– 400 if your lord dies or if you didn’t have a lord to begin with
– 300 if all your heroes died or if you didn’t have any heroes to begin with
– 200 if all your champions have died or if you didn’t have any champions to begin with
+100 per challenge you won (enemy character has to be killed, not fleeing)

Difference in Victory Points between the players Result
0 – 100 points DRAW
200 – 400 points MINOR VICTORY
500 – 700 points SOLID VICTORY
800+ points MASSACRE
Scenario 3:
Pitched battle.
Game length: 2 hours or 6 game turns, whichever comes first.

Point calculation to command points :

Result Winner Loser
DRAW 25 points each
VICTORY 30 points 20 points
SOLID VICTORY 40 points 10 points
MASSACRE 50 points NUL points

Final winner = highest command point score (battles + painting + army lists)
In the case of a tie-off the one with the highest command points from the battles wins. In the case of another tie, the person with the most massacres, followed by the most solid victories and so on, wins.

Prizes will be awarded to the best painted army, first, second and third place in the tournament.

REMARKS:
Scoring unit:
• Min unit strength of 5
• Not engaged in close combat
• Not fleeing
