Army Size: 1000 points



ROUND 1 SCENARIO:
Surprise Encounter

Battlefield
Standard setup

Deployment
The table is divided into 6 equal sized areas (2'x2' squares). Roll to see how goes first. The losing player of the roll off must place a single non-character unit so that it is fully within any one area of the table. Their opponent then places a single non-character unit in any of the remaining areas. Repeat in turn for the remaining four areas. Each player may then places a single character with one of their units. All other units and characters will start as reinforcements.

First Turn
Roll off after deployment to see which player receives the first turn. The player that finished deploying first adds +1 to his roll.

Game Length
6 turns or 2 hours max

Additional Victory Conditions
none

Scenario Special Rules
Surprise
Units must pass a leadership test in order to declare a charge during the first game turn. Units can still move normally if the test is failed.

Reserves
Reserves can enter play on any of the player's turns including the first turn, as per the current rule book. They enter at any points on the table edge of one of the three areas the player originally depoyed hi sunits in at the start of the game. The area is chosen at random.
