5.1 Opponent selection
Round one – All opponents will be decided randomly.

Swiss system : All the generalship points will be accumulated and used to rank the players. The players in first and second place will fight each other, third and fourth will fight,….
In case of a tie there will be looked at the highest victory points scored in total.
To make sure you get to play varied opponents we try to apply the following rules :
- You will not face the same opponent twice
- If you filled in your club / shop on your registration card we try that you will not fight an opponent from your club / shop in the first 2 rounds.
If either circumstances arises please inform as soon as possible a referee and we will try to make a swap.

Beasts of Chaos players: When using Herds, you are allowed to make the front rank 5 models wide. This way, you’ll get rank bonuses, even when fighting a single character etc.

New army books may be used if the are individual for sale before 1 October.
If there are any questions, feel free to contact us at steven@blackborder.be .

5.4 Battles

During the tournament, you will play 3 battles.
All battles will be the classic ’Pitched Battle’. Wood Elves can use their extra wood in these battles.
Victory Points will be calculated using the VP table in the Rules Book P103. Please check the table underneath to see the battle result and Generalship points.
Conceding results is a maximum victory for your opponent. When conceding, call a judge to avoid any discussions.
After calculating the VPs, fill in the results form completely (table no, player names, victory points and result).

Level of Victory (VP difference) Winner Loser
Draw (0-399) 13 12
Minor Victory (400-799) 15 10
Solid Victory (800-1199) 17 8
Crushing Victory (1200-1599) 20 5
Massacre (>1599 VP) 25 0

5.5 Interference

Playing a battle is between you and your opponent. If anyone is giving comments or is interfering in a way that will affect the battle, call a judge.

5.6 Army painting and character

There are 15 tournament points on painting. These will be rewarded during the lunch break by independent judges. You’ll have to place your army on the table where you’ve had your first battle to receive your points.

Paintingchart armys:
-please check www.spellenclubroeselare.be

There are also 5 points on army character, theme, extras… The painting judges will rate your army on character and theme, giving points according to their own judgement.
You’ll score better in this category if your army has some fluff around it, a decorated army list, a strong and unique theme…

5.7 Tournament points

The sum of Generalship points, Painting and Character points and the 5 ‘being-in-order’ points will give a result of x/100. These are your tournament points and will be used to declare the tournament winner.
