| Description: | Austin, the capital of Texas, is proud to host the newest Warhammer Fantasy Independent Grand Tournament - Capital City Carnage. Independent Grand Tournaments are an amazing, weekend-long gaming event for Warhammer players of all skill levels. You will play five games over two days with dozens of the best players and most amazing armies from all over Texas, the USA and occasionally from across the world. IGTs stress a fun gaming atmosphere, good sportsmanship, and creative use of models from any manufacturer. Austin will be joining the likes of the Alamo (San Antonio), Lone Wolf (Dallas), Bayou Battles (Houston) and Wasteland Wars (Lubbock) in hosting a large-scale Warhammer Fantasy Tournament. Our venue is a fantastic hall in the Austin Convention Center! Austin is a vibrant and energetic city famous for it's live music, beautiful urban parks and eclectic culture (our city motto is "Keep Austin Weird"). The Austin Convention Center is located in the heart of the city. So whether you are taking in the night life on Austin's infamous 6th Street or watching the world's largest urban bat colony fly out from the Congress Avenue bridge, there will be something to enjoy when you are not busy pillaging the tabletop. Austin also enjoys an awesome local gaming scene. So muster your troops and come be our guest on May 1-2, 2010, for a weekend of fun and great gaming. | |
