the tournament was generally good.
but before hand the organiser sent out an email that we wouldn't play with the new relic beta rules because they didn't think that that would be a meta in our tournament. sure, these rules were beta and optional. but it's really ungentlemanly to then arrive at the tournament and see that the organiser himself participates in the tournament playing the katophrane relic deck (passive SC) and therefore crushing all the opponents and ruining the game. making it impossible to win with the official tournament scoring.
there could have been 2 solutions to this.
one; participate with that deck but don't count the scoring towards the overall ranking in the tournament. e.g. "sit out" in the actual ranking.
or two; use the beta rules and pay 2 glory / relic upgrade instead of the normal one glory as GW suggested in the description when they realised how broken the relics are.
