WH40K King of the Hill Event
Details:

* This is a FREE entry tournament.

* The event will last 1 day, approximately 8 hours, and
will last between 4-6 rounds (depending on number of players, how fast
your games run, etc)

* Players are responsible for providing:

o Bring three different army lists (1,000 points each)

o An Imperial Bastion model

o Models, dice, measuring devices, tokens, wreck
markers, templates and all other materials needed for play. Terrain will
be provided by the store

* Approved Army Lists from the Ard Boyz tournament will
be in effect.

* There will be no time limits applied to King of the
Hill games. As soon as a game ends, a player who is not currently involved
in a game may challenge a defender on that table for the next game.

* The first round of the King of the Hill Event will be
played using the Kill points scenario

* Subsequent rounds of the event will use a modified
Field of Battle scenario

o The winner of the previous game is now the table’s
defender

o The defender places his bastion in the center of the
table and 3 objective ‘flags’:

+ One flag on top of his
bastion

+ One flag 12” away from the
bastion

+ One flag 12”away from the
bastion in the exact opposite direction of the second flag

o Defender deploys his depleted army in the center of
the table in and around his bastion

o Attacker chooses a fresh army list (you may not re-use
a list until all 3 lists have been used at least once) from his reserves
and deploys from any table edge, dividing his force in any way he sees
fit.

* Depletion rules will be in effect:

o For each unit that ends the game with 50% or less
models, that unit starts the next game with one less model.

o For each unit that ends the game with no models
remaining on the table, that unit starts the next game with two less
models.

o Any armored vehicle damaged during a game suffers +1
to his damage rolls in the next game (this includes Bastions)

o Any armored vehicle destroyed during a game suffers +2
to his damage rolls in the next game.

o Any multi-wound character model (non-unit) no longer
on the table at the end of the game starts the next game with one wound.
This damage CANNOT be healed.

o These effects are cumulative (i.e. a two wound
character model would not be able to play again if he was killed twice)

* Players will play in multiple rounds throughout the
day, accumulating points to try to attain the following goals:

Defender

The Defender title goes to the
player with the most consecutive wins as defender. In the case of a tie, the
player with the most VPs earned is the winner.

Conqueror

The Conqueror title goes to the
player with the highest flag count at the end of the day (captured AND
defended). If there is tie for most flags, the player with the most VPs earned
is the winer.

Survivor

The Survivor title goes to the
player with the most defending VPs. In the case of a tie, the player with the
highest VPs total is the winner.

Bastion model (Bastion model must be purchased from our store in order to be
