1.0 Requirements:
You need to bring along all materials needed to play Warhammer 40k. We recommend that you bring along the following:

• Your army.(yes realy)
• The Rulebook and the appropriate army book(s) and errata. (do not forget your codex or you will recive a penalty)
• Templates, dice and tape measures.
• Two copies of your army roster (one for us to check, one for you to use).
• This rules pack.
• 3 objective marker (on a normal infantry base)

2.0 Tournament rules & restrictions:
• Armies must follow the restrictions from their own Warhammer 40k Codex.
• Only the armies listed below can be used at the tournament (see section 3.0).
• All weapons, wargear and unit options chosen in the army roster should be represented on your models. Grenades are an exception to this rule and units using grenades that are not represented on the models should be declared to your opponent at the start of the game. (this applies only to defensive and assault grenades other grenades like melta bombs should be placed on the models.) Non wysiwyg models can not use equiqment that is not on the model.
• Referees set up the scenery for the battle and scenery pieces may not be moved.

2.1 Army rules & restrictions:
• No more than 1700 point may be spent per army
• All the normal restrictions and rules listed in the codices for 1700 point armies count.
• Each army may only select units from its own codex. Witch Hunters and Daemonhunters an exception to this and may select inducted Space Marines and Imperial Guard units as explained in their codices.• When you are using an army that has a specific colour scheme in its codex (Dark Angels, Black Templars, Space Wolves ect) and you have not used this colour scheme in your army, you are expected to clarify this to your opponent before the game begins.
• Using a spcific colour scheme whit a different codex is not allowed (aka using blood angels as spacewolfs for example)
• You are expacted to make it crystal clear what is in your army to the enemy before the battle starts. A good way to do this is to explain your army unit by unit and pointing out the differed upgrades and war gear. This also means that you inform your opponent what unit rides in each transport and what their equipment is

2.2 General rules clarifications:
• Smoke launchers - All smoke launchers in all armies will use the rules as presented in the main rule book. This means, for instance, that deamon hunter somke launchers will not make all hits count as glancing hits.
• Whitch Hunters / Deamonhunters - Witch Hunters and Deamonhunters lists may include the new entries for an Infantry Platoon or any Sentinel Sqaudron in the new IG codex. They may still include only one Leman Russ Battle Tank (no variants).

• Adhere to all criteria listed in this rules- pack
• Be typed, clear and readable
• Mention if the army was not painted and built by yourself
• Contain all information required for play and reference. Including the point cost of models, options, equipment, upgrades, etc.

You’ll need at least two copies of your army roster during the tournament. One for yourself, and one for the judges.

5.0 Playing the tournament

5.1 Registration
We will confirm whether you brought the army you registered with, and take in your army roster.

5.2 Opponent
In the first round your opponent will be randomly generated, in subsequent rounds opponent will depend on your current ranking. In case of a uneven number of players the lowest ranking player will play against a army controlled by a judge. This is a by and will always count as at least a draw unless of course you win. In that case you will get the full points for winning.
We endavor to let you not face the same opponent twice in the tournament, should this happen anyway tell us right away. So that we can change it.
Other participants and onlookers are not allowed to interfere in a battle they do not participate in themselves, in any way. On the same not onlookers are also forbidden from interfering

6.0 Determining the winner
The winner will be determined by the victory conditions of the mission. As per 40k rule book.
Aside from a victory, a loss or a draw, a winning team also has a chance of scoring a massacre. A massacre can only be scored ba a player that has won with a difference in victory points (as explained on page 300 of the Warhammer 40k 5th edition rulebook) that is larger than 1000 points.
If, at the end of the battle, the winning players suspect that they have scored a massacre, the losing players are required to aid in calculating the victory point difference.
if a losing player has scored at least 1000 more victory point than his opponent, then the game is a draw instead of loss/win.

6.1 Using an illegal army
When you use an illegal army you need to change your army, if necessary on the day itself. In addition, you will suffer a point penalty for each round you have used the illegal army. The amount of points deducted from your score will depend on how influential and serious the error in the army list was. ( for example -5 command points per battle for being 1 or 2 points over 1700, -20 command points for including a extra heavy support)
